The Villager Cafe is a new community hub in Midcoast Maine. It’s a coffee spot, grab-and-go breakfast standby, events space, and long lunch hang. It’s also home of the Midcoast Villager newsstand and the ideal place to connect with the community and hear the news on everyone’s mind.

The Cafe is the latest offering of the Midcoast Villager newspaper, a physical space dedicated to serving the people of Midcoast Maine with the news of the day, meaningful live events, and a menu of classic dishes and local delights.

The Midcoast Villager

The Midcoast Villager is the paper of record for Knox and Waldo Counties. We believe that community news has a bigger role to play than simply keeping the public informed—it’s about connecting people to their neighbors and the places they call home.

Built on 196 years of local journalism, the Villager serves Midcoast Maine with the latest news, in-depth solutions-based journalism, profiles of our community members, arts and culture coverage, and voices and opinions from across the region.

We publish a weekly newspaper—it comes out on Thursdays and you can always get one at the Villager Cafe’s newsstand–as well as daily news and life coverage at midcoastvillager.com.
